What’s On: Supernatural Finale Friday!

With May sweeps nearing an end it’s the CW’s Supernatural turn for a two hour explosive finale extravaganza, there’s some newsmagazines, a Canadian cop show and NBC’s friday night lights. Not too shabby… Here are our recommedations for tonight, Friday May 20 2011.

6th Season Finale!
Supernatural
“Let It Bleed” & “The Man Who Knew Too Much” 8:00 on CW

In the first hour; “A demon kidnaps Ben (guest star Nicholas Elia) and Lisa (guest star Cindy Sampson) to get to Dean (Jensen Ackles). Sam (Jared Padalecki) and Dean are forced to join with an unlikely ally to free them.” and in the second; “

The wall comes down in Sam’s (Jared Padalecki) head and all hell breaks loose. Dean (Jensen Ackles) and Bobby (Jim Beaver) are, for once, at a total loss on how to help him and are forced to stand by and do nothing while Sam breaks. The battle for heaven comes to a head.” I don’t watch Supernatural but it sounds like a good finale, especially since series creator Eric Kripke returns to write the finale.

The Rest:

Flashpoint 8:00 on CBS – You’re under arrest, eh!

Kitchen Nightmares 8:00 on FOX – Finale.

Friday Night Lights 8:00 on NBC – “Swerve” in which a popular magazine hails coach as a “kingmaker” meanwhile a mysterious accident prevents Julie’s return to college.

Real Time with Bill Maher 10:00 on HBO – Smelly cat, smelly cat, what are they feeding you? Smelly cat, smelly cat, it’s not your fault.

Camelot 10:00 on Starz – With only three episodes left (including tonight’s) this series has scant few more chances to win me over. Tonight’s episode focuses on Morgan’s shapeshifting into her stepmother to gain Arthur’s trust and favour.

Newsmagazines:
What Would You Do? 9:00 on ABC – What would I do? Not watch this!

Dateline NBC 9:00 on NBC – How many predators can one series catch?

20/20 10:00 on ABC – Are they talking about hindsight or foresight? Or just sight?

48 Hours 10:00 on CBS – Watching this can feel like two whole days.
