Bones! Army Wives! Workaholics! Fairly Legal! Renewed!

As we grow closer to the May Upronts in a few weeks we’ll be hearing lots of renewal and cancellation news. Here is a brief rundown of the action from the last few weeks:

Bones: David Boreanaz tweeted renewal news that “Season 7 is GO for Bones”. Two years ago they were picked up for two seasons, but this time just one. Looks like FOX still has to focus on House and getting those contracts hammered out and renewed.

Army Wives: has been renewed for season 5 by Lifetime. Me, I prefer the whimsy of Drop Dead Diva.

Workaholics: Comedy Central has granted this little seen series a second season – might be worth checking out now.

Fairly Legal: The Sara Shahi legal dramedy was picked up for a second season but with a few conditions, mainly a creative overhaul of the series. Smart move considering how much of a perfect star Shahi is for USA, which rarely cancels a series after one season.

Judge Judy: Her contract with CBS films has been renewed till 2015.
