What’s On: State’s Attorney Election Tuesday!

I am wrought with dread anticipating tonight’s Good Wife and the bombshell secret that may or may not destroy Alicia’s relationships with both her husband Peter and her friend Kalinda. Tonight’s Parenthood also seems like not the sunniest of episodes as Amber’s life spins out of control. Both series have been on fire this year and are our recommendations for tonight, Tuesday April 12 2011.

On Fire:

The Good Wife “Foreign Affairs” 10:00 on CBS

Shit is going down. CBS says: Lockhart/Gardner represents a small drilling contractor against a major oil conglomerate in a dispute that is going well until a South American dictator complicates the situation. Meanwhile, the election results are in (which is odd seeing as neither Chris Noth nor Anika Noni Rose, who play the candidates are in the episode). I really hope Peter wins – it would make great TV. America Ferrera, Ana Gasteyer and Tim Guinee all return tonight. I love Guinee’s Daddy-investigator Andrew Wiley, covered in baby gear he still manages to exude menace and intimidation.

Parenthood “Slipping Away” 10:00 on NBC

Parenthood houses one of the strongest ensembles on TV and its second season has been an emotional rollercoaster, one which ends next week. Tonight Amber’s life spins out of control in the wake of not getting in to any colleges, which we saw glimpses of a few episodes ago. Joel works with Crosby on his Hail Mary to win back Jasmine, and Adam and Christina discover Hattie and Alex are doin’ it. PS – speaking of Alex – the NBC press release lists him as ‘starring’ hmmm… is The Wire’s Michael B. Jordan being upgraded to regular?

Series Premiere Alert!!!

Sports Show with Norm MacDonald “Pilot” 10:30 on Comedy Central

MacDonald hasn’t really worked (outside of celeb poker tourneys, college tours and the occaisional roast) in a bit but for some reason, ::cough::DEBT Comedy Central was able to book him for an ongoing hosting gig. I love MacDonald – have since his time on SNL, followed him through both of his sitcoms and even though I don’t really follow sports I bet the always hilarious MacDonald will get me interested.  Check out his interview with pal Letterman promoting this.

Cool as Ice:

The Biggest Loser 8:00 on NBC – Courtney Crozier (left) got eliminated last week. I wept and I died a little.

Jamie Oliver’s Food Revolution 8:00 on ABC – I hate this prig.

NCIS 8:00 on CBS – L’chaim l’Ziva David.

NCIS:LA 9:00 on CBS – Claire Forlani cast as new op manager – What’s happening to Hetty?

Dancing With The Stars 9:00 on ABC – Results Muthaf**ka!

Traffic Light 9:30 on FOX – I’d love to see some of the heart I saw in the pilot.

Teen Mom Season 1’s Unseen Moments 10:00 on MTV – MTV continues to milk it’s goldmine.

Body of Proof 10:01 on ABC – I wish Dana Delaney was enough to make this work. It’s not bad it’s just not special. Plus I hate it when Sonja Sohn plays a cop that’s not Shakima Greggs (right).
