What’s On: Cho in Charge Thursday!

Tonight isn’t nearly as stale as last week’s thursday but it’s still no where near the glory of a jam packed thursday. CBS and FOX are new tonight, as are the cable babes. I’m muay excited for the Mentalist in which Cho gets a deserved promotion, it among others are our recommendations for tonight, Thursday March 10 2011.

The Best:

The Big Bang Theory “The Prestidigtation Approximation” 8:00 on CBS

Tonight BBT tackles a typical sitcom trope as Priya (guest star Aarti Mann) tell Leonard she doesn’t want him spending time with Penny anymore. If TV has taught me anything (and Oh Lord it has) this is exactly what’ll drive them back together. Mark my words! The B plot has Sheldon frustrated when he can’t understand how an illusion was performed.

Bones “The Killer in the Crosshairs” 9:00 on FOX

Bones ought to do well in this comfy post Idol slot. Arnold Vosloo (24, The Mummy series) returns as Emil Broadsky, an old foe from Booth’s past. Also returning in a lighter capacity is Billy Gibbons, from the band ZZ Top, who plays a fictionalized version himself who’s Angela’s (Michaela Conlin) father.

The Mentalist “Bloodstream” 10:00 on CBS

In the last episode Hightower, framed for the murder of a cop-killer and being Red John’s man on the inside is on the run and LaRoche (Pruitt Taylor Vince) takes over and promptly puts Cho (Tim Kang) in charge. Solid move, in a world of massivly ineffectual TV police, Agent Cho is one of the few who I’d count on in ANY situation. I’m really interested to see where this cop killer story is going – as there are only 5 regular characters and so far this season 2 recurring cops (Hightower and LaRoche) so if the killer is not one of them (LaRoche wasn’t there yet, he arrived to investigate the death) it’s someone we don’t know. I hope it Grace. Here are the very different Canadian and American promos.

The Rest:

American Idol 8:00 on FOX – One person leaves. Please let it be Ahshthohnh Jhohnhehsh.

Rules of Engagement 8:30 on CBS – Meh to the max.

CSI 9:00 on CBS – I’m eagerly awaiting the return of Louise Lombard and Lady Heather!

Archer 10:00 on FX – Movie Star is the title, and I’m drooling in anticipation.

Fairly Legal 10:00 on USA – I’m still torn on whether this is good. My instincts tell me it’s not but I can’t help liking the series stars and how they manage to use mediation in non-conventional formats.
