What’s On: EVENTful MONDAY

THE EVENT IS BACK, BABY! But tonight is not only about the return of the EVENT, Greek ends forever tonight and House enters a deluded world to escape from the possibility that Cuddy is ill. All three sound like solid fare that’s why they’re our recommendations for tonight, Monday March 7 2011.

The Best:

The EVENT “And Then There Were More” & “Inostranka” 8:00 & 9:00 on NBC

The EVENT returns tonight after a lengthy hiatus where some retooling took place. The first two episodes back are better than the average 2010 installment of the series but they’re still lacking; characters are weak and two dimensional (especially Blair Underwood’s President Martinez). A lot happens in these two hours which is what makes EVENT 2.0 considerably more exciting than before. We last left off with Thomas sending a satellite into space, and discovering that Leila and Michael Buchanan are aliens. Oscar Nominees Virginia Madsen and Hal Holbrook guest star along with Clea Duval and Chris Matthews I’ll be back tomorrow with a recap!

House “Bombshells” 8:00 on FOX

Something is not right with Cuddy and from the looks of the promos House falls off the wagon and falls into a delusional multi-genre state. At least it’ll have a solid lead performance in the capable Laurie. Paula Marshall returns as Cuddy’s sister.

Series Finale Alert!

Greek “Legacy” 9:00 on ABC Family

This is it Greek fans, tonight’s the end of the adventure – four seasons is a very respectful run especially for a college series – they could have made Casey (Spencer Grammer) stick around campus with some sort of forced reason but no, tonight she graduates and in what looks from the promo to be a nice moment, sets off with Cappie (Scott Michael Foster). I wish I could give you a better farewell blurb but Greek’s run escaped me, I saw a few episodes here and there and was heartily entertained. I can however thank Greek for ushering in a new era of ABC Family YA dramas that I find to be the guiltiest of pleasures.

The rest:

Pretty Little Liars 8:00 on ABC Family – Caleb is a spy for Jenna! Spencer is the target of the investigation! With only two more episodes after tonight, the heat is on!

The Chicago Code 9:00 on FOX – Speaking of heat, things get hot for Teresa’s undercover Liam (Billy Lush, right). Rockmund Dunbar (Terriers and Prison Break) also guest stars as Teresa’s shady brother in law.

Being Human 9:00 on Syfy – Something about kids or something according to the title. The British original had an episode where Mitchell became friends with a kid. Maybe this is the North American version of that.

Skins 10:00 on MTV – Daisy, who I believe is the North American version of Jal, is the focus of this episode.

Harry’s Law 10:00 on NBC – Camryn Manhiem (The Practice, Ghost Whisperer) guest stars as a bitchy ADA. LOVE IT.

Check back tomorrow for more juicy TV goodness.
