What’s On: Friday

G’day Nerds! There’s not a lot of good TV on tonight, but there are a lot of good movies out – I know blasphemous right? My DVR is taking night off to get a little rest, she’s been in overdrive. (I’m not the only one who personalizes their DVR right?… right?) But if you’re staying in with the sniffles or you’re just damn tired there are a few things on tonight. Soon Fringe comes here hopefully not to die – I’m trying to be optimistic of the friday move here but it’s hard. Here are our recommendations for tonight, Friday January 14 2011.

The slightly more interesting than the rest:

Medium “Labor Pains” 8:00 on CBS

Medium, CBS’ ugly little step-daughter, airs it’s penultimate episode tonight. The episode directed by series co-star Miguel Sandoval is about Alison helping a man find his wife who disappeared, and Alison and Jake deal with Marie’s outbursts at school. 7 seasons is a good run.

The Soup 10:00 on E!

Get your Joel McHale fix here, till next week when he’s back to two nights in a row!

The Rest:

Supernanny 8:00 on ABC – Come see Frosty Jo and her last run of episodes.

CSI:NY 9:00 on CBS – Sela Ward’s face looks a little… pulled – ya know? I.. I just can’t get past it.

Season Premieres Alert!

The Ricky Gervais Show 9:00 on HBO – Gervais and chums Stephen Merchant and Karl Pilkington have an animated laugh in the premier of their second season.

Real Time with Bill Maher 10:00 on HBO – So there’s this super cheesy movie with Shannon Tweed (drool) and Bill Maher that I love called Cannibal Women in the Avocado Jungle of Death, that I adore. So in honor of Bill Maher’s 9th season premiere, I leave you with the 1989 art film trailer.
