What’s On: Monday

Alright fellas and phillies we got a stacked monday night ahead of us. TNT’s original programming returns today – not that that means anything substantial – and the CW soaps end for the winter; all in all a great offering. Here are our recommendations for tonight, Monday December 6 2010.

The Best:

The Closer “Old Money” 9:00 on TNT

I’m not a huge fan of TNT’s original programming, but I am a fan of Mrs. Kevin Bacon, Kyra Sedgwick – she oozes southern charm, she’s sexy as hell and she’s back on TV tonight (for the first time since Sept 13.) as Lt. Brenda Johnson, The CLOSER. But she ain’t alone, Mary McDonnell is back too, as Captain Sharon Raydor and she’s bringing all her fight back to the MCD. Tonight Brenda helps a friend accused of witness tampering.

Gossip Girl “The Townie” 9:00 on The CW

Gossip Girl has been great this season and it’s finally that Blair and Co. have a formidable enough enemy; Juliet. What makes Juliet such a great villain is that she embodies the Three I’s – Improvisation, Insanity and Intelligence. Tonight her arc might end as Dan and Blair team up to take the bitch down.

Castle “Last Call” 10:oo on ABC

Castle and crew delve into the NY bar scene. My fave thing about Castle is how with each mystery they go into a different sub-culture. Here’s the promo…

Season Premier Alert!

Men of a Certain Age “If I Could, I Surely Would” 10:00 on TNT

MOACA is back! And even though I can’t personally attest to this shows quality, but critics from all over have heaped much praise on this series from Ray Romano. Tonight’s season 2 premier was written by Romano and co-creator Mike Royce, it has Owen taking over the dealership and becomes Terry’s boss and Joe works on his golf game. Here’s the season 2 promo…

that’s not all folks, here’s the rest:

The Sing-Off 8:00-10:00 NBC – Last year’s competition gave us The ‘Bubs who I thought were a lock to win, but instead the win went to Nota – The Bubs got the last laugh, they’re the Dalton Academy Warblers on Glee

How I Met Your Mother 8:00 CBS – Ted invites Zoey’s husband, The Captain (Kyle MacLachlan) to hang out in an effort to prove his relationship with her is platonic.

90210 8:00 CW – It’s the winter finale so there is going to be something big going down. Adrianna’s secret will probably get revealed… odds are Teddy’s will too.

Skating With The Stars 8:00 ABC – Sean Young wackadoo alert!

In Treatment 9:00 & 9:30 HBO – Sunil and Frances tonight!

Mike & Molly 9:30 CBS – Mike bonds with Molly’s family – which means more screen time for Katy Mixon!

Hawaii 5-O 10:00 CBS – This is so regular and typical it’s gonna last forever.

Chase 10:00 NBC – NBC just cut their order from 22 to 18 episodes so dont get too attached to it. Tonight Omari Hardwick (Dark Blue) guests as a man who takes the whole city of Houston hostage.

We got a jam packed monday night ahead of us! Enjoy it – and check back over the next few days for joint recaps of 9-oh and GG!
