Hello TV junkies, Tuesday is definitely no Thursday, but it does have a few diamonds in the rough. Here are our recommendations for tonight, Tuesday November 23, 2010.
Parenthood “Happy Thanksgiving” 10:00 on NBC
The Braverman clan gathers for Thanksgiving. With the solid writing and acting the seems to come naturally to the people on Parenthood, tonight has the potential to be a series best. Sarah brings Gordon to dinner much to the disdain of Adam and Drew and Julia seeks her domestic side. Not exciting, but always funny and it blowsthe hell out of the grating Walker Clan over on ABC. Check out the promo.
The Good Wife “On Tap” 10:00 on CBS
With word that Michael J. Fox’s Louis Canning set to return to cause Havoc in January, we actually have a reason to celebrate this season (Screw Chrismukkah). Tonight’s episode, in which the firm reviews wire tap evidence to see if a terrorist bribed an alderman, was directed by Roxann Dawson (B’Elanna Torres on Star Trek DS9). Looks like Elizabeth Reaser, Zach Grenier and Michael Boatman all return to their recurring roles. Check out the promo. Looks so goddamn good.
Sons of Anarchy “June Wedding” 10:00 on FX
Jax must choose between revenge and the good of Charming. This season of SOA reminded me a lot of season 2 of True Blood, with Sookie and Bill away and the town going to hell while they’re gone. Tonight is the penultimate episode of the season, they have two episode to tie up the story arc. I’ve been on both sides of this season’s voyage to Ireland – I hated that a baby was used as a bargaining chip, but loved Maureen Ashby and getting in with the IRA. With everyone back in Charming we can focus on it’s soul and Jacob Hale’s attempt to get it. Not as intense and focused as the previous season, we’ve still gone on a wicked fun ride this year and I believe they’ve saved their best stuff for these two episode. Prepare to be blown away. Hopefully.
But that’s not all – here’s the rest of tonight’s programming:
Glee 8:00 FOX – Living comedy legend Carol Burnett(!!!!) guest stars tonight as Sue and Jean Sylvester’s nazi hunter mother. If anyone can go toe to toe with Lynch it’s Burnett – the best casting this show’s ever done. Here’s them singing Ohio from tonight’s episode.
No Ordinary Family 8:00 ABC – Waning interest alert. This is boring – needs a shot of adrenaline.
Dancing with the Stars 9:00 ABC – Finale Alert!!! Will Jennifer Grey beat Kyle Massey and Bristol Palin?… probably.
Tower Prep 9:00 Cartoon Network – Paul Dini continues to dazzle with this live action offering from CN. Watch it!
In Treatment 9:00 & 9:30 HBO – Adele and Jesse… it’s at this point in the season I usually give up but I’m really trying here…
NCIS:LA 9:00 CBS – Part 2 of Hattie’s Story.
Raising Hope 9:00 FOX – Jimmy invited Hope’s other grandparents to thanksgiving dinner. I heart Plimpton.
That’s all for tonight – check back tomorrow for recaps!
