Fired! Teddy’s leaving the Zip.

When Annalynne McCord said there were gonna be cuts on 90210 she wasn’t kidding.

It was announced today that Trevor Donovan was the first to get the axe.

Last season saw his womanizer character come to terms with his homosexuality and come out of the closet after his secret boyfriend secretly blackmailed him. Though he wont return as a regular he will guest star in the four or five episodes early in the fall.

Donovan marks the third cast member fired after Lori Laughlin and Ryan Eggold in the behind the scenes shake-up that also included the exit of showrunner Rebecca Rand Kirshner Sinclair and the hiring of Patti Carr and Lara Olsen (a writing duo who worked together on Life Unexpected, Reba and Private Practice).

HART OF DIXIE! Fast-talking New Yorker and brand new doctor Zoe Hart has it all figured out – after graduating top of her class from medical school, she’ll follow in her father’s footsteps and become a cardio-thoracic surgeon.  But when her dreams fall apart, Zoe decides to accept an offer from a stranger, Dr. Harley Wilkes, to work with him at his small practice in Bluebell, Alabama.  Zoe arrives in this small Gulf Coast town only to find that Harley has passed away and left his half of the medical practice to her in his will.  She quickly finds that Southern hospitality isn’t always so hospitable – the other doctor in town, Brick Breeland, is less than pleased to be sharing the practice with this young outsider, and his daughter, Lemon, is a Southern belle whose sweet disposition turns sour when she meets Zoe.  Zoe’s only allies are the mayor, former football star Lavon Hayes, her bad-boy neighbor Wade Kinsella, and handsome lawyer George Tucker – who just happens to be Lemon’s fiancé.  Zoe is out of her element and ready to pack her bags, but a surprise visit by her snobby New York mother leads to Zoe’s decision to stay in Bluebell for a while, discovering small-town life and a side of herself she hadn’t known was there.  The series stars Rachel Bilson as Dr. Zoe Hart, Jaime King as Lemon Breeland, Wilson Bethel as Wade Kinsella, Cress Williams as Lavon Hayes, McKaley Miller as Rose and Scott Porter as George Tucker.

RINGER! Sarah Michelle Gellar stars as a woman who, after witnessing a murder, goes on the run, hiding out by assuming the life of her wealthy identical twin sister – only to learn that her sister’s seemingly idyllic life is just as complicated and dangerous as the one she’s trying to leave behind.  Bridget is six months sober and starting to turn her life around when she is the sole witness to a professional hit.  Despite the assurances of her FBI protector, Agent Victor Machado, Bridget knows her life is on the line.  She flees to New York, telling no one, not even her Narcotics Anonymous sponsor, Malcolm.  In New York, Bridget reunites with her estranged twin, Siobhan.  Wealthy, pampered and married to the strikingly handsome Andrew Martin, Siobhan lives what appears to be a fairy tale life – a life where no one knows that Bridget exists.  The sisters seem to be mending their frayed relationship, until Siobhan disappears mysteriously, and Bridget makes the split decision to take on her sister’s identity.  She discovers shocking secrets, not only about her sister and her marriage, but also about Siobhan’s best friend, Gemma, and Gemma’s husband, Henry.  And when someone tries to kill Bridget in her sister’s penthouse, she realizes she is no safer as Siobhan than she is as herself.  The series stars Sarah Michelle Gellar as Bridget and Siobhan, Kristoffer Polaha as Henry, Ioan Gruffudd as Andrew Martin, Nestor Carbonell as Agent Victor Machado and Tara Summers as Gemma.

H8R! Celebrities go head-to-head with civilians who hate them to win their “haters” over.  Hosted by Mario Lopez.

THE SECRET CIRCLE! Cassie Blake was a happy, normal teenage girl – until her mother Amelia dies in what appears to be a tragic accidental fire.  Orphaned and deeply saddened, Cassie moves in with her warm and loving grandmother Jane in the beautiful small town of Chance Harbor, Washington – the town her mother left so many years before – where the residents seem to know more about Cassie than she does about herself.  As Cassie gets to know her high school classmates, including sweet-natured Diana and her handsome boyfriend Adam, brooding loner Nick, mean-girl Faye and her sidekick Melissa, strange and frightening things begin to happen.  When her new friends explain that they are all descended from powerful witches, and they’ve been waiting for Cassie to join them and complete a new generation of the Secret Circle, Cassie refuses to believe them – until Adam shows her how to unlock her incredible magical powers.  But it’s not until Cassie discovers a message from her mother in an old leather-bound book of spells hidden in her mother’s childhood bedroom, that she understands her true and dangerous destiny.  What Cassie and the others don’t yet know is that darker powers are at play, powers that might be linked to the adults in the town, including Diana’s father and Faye’s mother – and that Cassie’s mother’s death might not have been an accident.  The series stars Britt Robertson as Cassie Blake, Thomas Dekker as Adam Conant, Gale Harold as Charles Meade, Phoebe Tonkin as Fay Chamberlain, Jessica Parker Kennedy as Melissa, Shelley Hennig as Diana Meade, Louis Hunter as Nick, Ashley Crow as Jane Blake and Natasha Henstridge as Dawn Chamberlain.

Remodeled! Modeling industry veteran Paul Fisher is planning to bring together hundreds of small agencies around the world in a new venture called The Network.  The Network will give Paul the leverage to change the industry from the inside out.  He has two missions: to make sure agents in small towns no longer get screwed, and to empower models to take control of their careers and lead healthier lives.  RE-MODELED is from Fly on the Wall Entertainment and Sony Pictures Television with executive producers Allison Grodner (“Big Brother,” “You’re Cut Off,” “She’s Got The Look,” “Plain Jane”), Rich Meehan (“Big Brother,” “You’re Cut Off,” “She’s Got The Look,” “Plain Jane”), Amy Palmer (“You’re Cut Off,” “Plain Jane”), Paul Fisher (“I Want To Be A Hilton”), Greg Seuss (“What’s Wrong with Virginia,” “Tug”) and Erik Stone (“Aisha Tyler Is Lit: Live at the Fillmore”).

What’s On: Finale Monday!

At least 8 series end tonight in what I’m sure will be thrilling and tense finales. Will Naomi Clark graduate? Is Sarah dead? Who’s wedding is Ted best man at? What brings Georgina Sparks back to the Upper East Side? and who’s the casualties on Castle and Hawaii Five-O? All will be answered tonight, Monday May 16, 2011.

Finales!

3rd Season Finale Alert!
90210 “To The Future!” 8:00 on CW

Ivy and Raj have an “A Walk To Remember” type wedding, Liam decides not to pursue a post-secondary education, Ryan and Debbie get written out of the series in what I’m sure will be a ridiculous but satisfying manner, and Adrianna’s revenge scheme on Silver gets revealed resulting in her banishment. But the biggest question on my mind is will Naomi Clark get to graduate with her friends? And why is Naomi Clark not only the best character on this series by far, but probably the best character on the CW? Tonight’s finale was written and directed by departing Showrunner Rebecca Sinclair, who is responsible for the creative turnaround at the end of the first season, so it should be great.

4th Season Finale Alert!
Chuck
“Chuck vs. The Cliffhanger” 8:00 on NBC

NBC beloved gem of a series ends it’s fourth season tonight with Chuck on a revenge rampage for his interrupted wedding. It returns on fridays next fall for a final 13 episode season. It’s really nice to see tv execs caring about the fans when they make their decisions.

6th Season Finale Alert!
How I Met Your Mother “Challenge Accepted”

Robin and Barney rebond when helping Ted get over Zoey until they run into Nora. Is the wedding Barney’s? Is he marrying Nora or Robin? Could this season have been any more focused on Daddy issues? Imagine it returns next season minus that awful laugh track?

4th Season Finale Alert!
Gossip Girl “The Wrong Goodbye” 9:00 on CW

This season has had its ups and downs, I mostly loved everything to do with Juliet, but the subsequent reprocussions have been really obnoxious, as has the Russell Thorpe/Raina plot line (Michael Boatman is a billion times better in his Good Wife recurring role. There are two shining beacons of joy on the horizons, first is the yearly finale visit by Georgina Sparks (Michelle Trachtenberg) and second that Vanessa Abrams and Jenny Humphrey will be persona non grata come next year. After 4 long seasons those obnoxious bitches will finally be gone.

First Season Finale Alert!
Mike & Molly “Peggy’s New Beau” 9:30 on CBS

I saw Bridesmaids over the weekend and Melissa McCarthy killed it. Go check that movie out! Tonight Mike and Molly are introduced to Peggy’s new boyfriend (played by True Blood and Deadwood’s William Sanderson.)

First Season Finale Alert!
Hawaii Five-O “Oia’i'o (Trust)” 10:00 on CBS

The wildly successfull first season comes to an end tonight as the team gets too close to Wo-Fat with devestating consequences. As the Governer cannot protect them any longer it’s time to pay for their actions. Also someone is dying. Mark Dacasos and Larissa Oleynik guest star.

3rd Season Finale Alert!
Castle “Knockout” 10:01 on ABC

Castle is usually one of the lighter procedurals on TV, unless its dealing with the murder of Beckett’s mother, which it does tonight. When Hal Lockwood (guest star Max Martini) escaped from prison the team discovers that Lockwood’s escape is linked to Joanna Beckett’s murder. The investigtion comes to a fatal and tragic conclusion; one of the regulars is dying tonight, and while plot and impact wise, killing Esposito, Ryan or Lainie would have a greater impact, but I have a feeling that the ill fated is Captain Montgomery, played by Ruben Santaigo-Hudson. It’s been a great third season for Castle and from what I hear it’s gonne be one helluva cliffhanger tonight.

The Rest:

Dancing With The Stars 8:00 on ABC – 4 “stars” are left.

House 8:00 on FOX – House deals with the reprocussion of taking an experimental drug.

The Secret Life of the American Teenager 8:00 on ABC Family – I want Molly Ringwald and Mark Derwin to sit on a table and eat a cake together.

Series Finale Alert!
Mad Love
8:30 on CBS – This awful series ends if awfully short awful run tonight.

The Chicago Code 9:00 on FOX – This was a great little series that too a little too long to find it’s footing, I hope that there’s some sort of conclusion before the series finale next week.

The EVENT 9:00 on NBC – There was so much promise with the cast and the concept, it’s a shame that it all fell totally and incredibly flat. I will especially miss Taylor Cole’s Vicky Roberts and Zeljko Ivanek’s Blake Sterling.

Make It or Break It 9:00 on ABC Family – I rewatched DJ’s anorexia episode of Full House the other day. It’s a classic.

Law & Order:LA 10:00 on NBC – Haha NBC, you cancelled the flagship only to greenlight this grittier version only to have it FAIL.

The Hard Times of RJ Berger 10:00 on MTV – Just the worst sitcom.

Nurse Jackie 10:00 on SHO – Edie Falco with short hair is so spunky!

The United States of Tara 10:30 on SHO – What a waste of everything.

What’s On: Monday!

Today is gonna be brief, I hate to preview and dash but I’ve got a lot on my plate, some of which is enjoying the glorious weather I have here in Toronto (I know, choosing the outdoors vs the warm glow of TV is mega shocking!) Here are our recommendations for tonight, Monday May 9 2011.

The Best:

90210 ”The Prom Before the Storm” 8:00 on CW

Though the prom king and queen were spoiled (I’m not telling here) it’ll still probably gonna be a great night in our favourite zip code, especially considering Beverly Hills 90210′s prom lead us to the brilliant “DONNA MARTIN GRADUATES” 2 parter.

House ”The Fix” 8:00 on FOX

Looks like House is gonna start chasing the dragon tonight, or it’s another misleading promo…

The Chicago Code ”The Black Sox”

Teresa amps up her war against Alderman Gibbons. It’s about frikkin time.

The Event ”One Will Live, One Will Die” 9:00 on NBC

Seeing as this is pretty much guaranteed a cancellation notice next week, can zero live and all of them die? Especially Leila. And especially the Vice President. OH MAN, and especially President Martinez.

Seeing as it’s renewal time lets look at the chances of the Rest:

Chuck 8:00 on NBC – Renewal Chances (RC): 50/50.

Dancing With The Stars 8:00 on ABC – Renewed as long as there are F list celebs looking for attention.

The Secret Life of the American Teenager 8:00 on ABC Family – Cable series have a different renewal schedule.

How I Met Your Mother 8:00 on CBS – Renewed for two more seasons.

Mad Love 8:30 on CBS – RC: Dim, like it’s comedic efforts.

Gossip Girl 9:00 on CW – Renewed already.

Make It or Break It 9:00 on ABC Family – Same as Secret Life…

Mike and Molly 9:30 on CBS – RC: In light of everything to do with two and a half men, looks like a keeper.

The Hard Times of RJ Berger 10:00 on MTV – Also cable.

Law and Order: LA 10:00 on NBC – RC: Pretty grim.

Hawaii 5-0 10:00 on CBS – RC: It’s only a matter of time.

Castle 10:01 on ABC – Already renewed.

Nurse Jackie 10:00 on SHO – Cable.

United States of Tara 10:30 on SHO – Also cable. But also awful.

What’s On: Manic Monday!

May Sweeps is in full effect, and tonight brings a slew of new programming, all the major nets are fresh, and I’m personally most looking forward to Silver’s continued descent into bi-polar madness. Here are our recommendations for tonight, May 2 2011.

The Best:

Chuck “Chuck vs. Agent X” 8:00 on NBC

Considering how in the dumps NBC is, Chuck funs should smoke ‘em if they got ‘em. It’s bachelor party Chuck-style, which means obviously its attacked by spies. Elsewhere, Ellie makes an astonishing discovery, along the same lines that Aunt Jenna made in the last few eps of the Vampire Diaries. Check out the promo for more.

90210 “Woman on the Verge” 8:00 on CW

90210′s thrid season has been fun but mostly uneven, but late in the run its finally finding its stride. Naomi’s relationship with Max (guest star Josh Zuckerman) is the breath of fresh air the show needed, and I’ve been waiting for Silver to have a flare up of her bi-polarness since it went dormant in the tail end of the first season. What’s still not so good? Everything Annie, its funny how Liam can be such a bad ass when he’s dating Naomi or working for that rich girl, but the moment he’s in a relationship with Annie he becomes completely emasculated. Also Ivy, her Walk to Remember plot with Raj (guest star Manesh Dayal) is really grinding my gears.

Gossip Girl “The Frog Princesses” 9:00 on CW

I guess the powers that be over at Gossip Girl could smell the staleness a mile away becuase they’ve gone back to one of their two tried tested and proved formulas for great TV, one is Georgina Sparks, who always manages to show up and be awesome and the second is having Blair and Serena at war with each other. Even though the battle will probably be resolved by the episode’s end, we should enjoy it while it lasts. Entertainment has been pretty fleeting this season.

Castle “To Love and Die in L.A.” 10:01 on ABC

Beckett gets evidence suggesting the murderer of her ex-partner has fled to LA, so her and Castle head across the country to hunt him down renegade-style, stoppubg by the Heat Wave set and enlisiting the cast in solvign the murder. Sounds like a lot of fun, and we’ll need it considering someone is dying in the finale. Gene Simmons, Dominic Purcell, DB Sweeney, and Jason George guest star.

The Rest:

Dancing with the Stars 8:00 on ABC – Gross pageantry, and no one even remotely interesting this season. I wish Jamie Lee was still in the audience every week.

House 8:00 on FOX – Candice Bergen stops by again as Cuddy’s mom, this time she’s suing the hospital for malpractice, meanwhile Donal Logue (Terriers, above) stops by as the patient of the week, and Foreman and Chase mess with eachother.

How I Met Your Mother 8:00 on CBS – This show needs to do SOMETHING to liven it up. It’s getting stale as ol’ bread.

The Secret Life of the American Teenager 8:00 on ABC Family – Come for the kids stay for the parents.

Mad Love 8:30 on CBS – Mad stupid.

The Event 9:00 on NBC – A set-up episode, lining up the pins for the endgame. Probably will be a slow one.

Make It or Break It 9:00 on ABC Family – The stunts are really well done here.

Mike & Molly 9:30 on CBS – Mike helps Vince study for his GED.

The Hard Times of RJ Berger 10:00 on MTV – The worst half hour on TV? Very likely…

Hawaii 5-0 10:00 on CBS – Rick Springfield guest stars as a fashion photographer killed during a swimsuit shoot in Hawaii. Desperate Housewives’ Andrea Bowen and Breakout Kings’ Serinda Swan guest star too.

Law & Order: LA 10:00 on NBC – They cancelled the flagship for this? Le grande sigh.

Nurse Jackie 10:00 on SHO – Peter Facinelli is pretty funny here as Dr. Coop, I’m just happy Mike Dexter survived Amanda’s breakup.

The United States of Tara 10:30 on SHO – More like The United States of Tarable.

90210 Recap: Mega-Drama Adrianna!

90210 came back strong last night with wicked spring break episode. The plot: Naomi takes the whole gang down to Cabo for spring break in a private jet! Lets get the dull out of the way; first of all there is nothing less sexy than Annie and Liam, she’s just has this sort of emasculating way about her that makes any guy she’s with seem like a tool. It would have been nice for Annie to get in the drama a bit – the last time there was a rift in the group she was at the heart of it. It was great to see her get bit by a monkey. More monkey bites for Annie! Ivy’s lame Half Baked-meets-A Walk To Remember storyline is lame as hell. It needs to be O-to the-VER. Open Letter to who ever takes over for departing showrunner Rebecca Sinclair – find something, ANYTHING, for Dixon to do.

Bordering on lame was Teddy who hooked up with his old Exeter roomie (played by Alan Ritchson) after getting rejected by Tennis-boy for being too slutty. Teddy saw the exeter guy with his boyfriend (they have an open relationship) and now Teddy wants a relationship too. So he called Tennis boy, was a smigde less slutty and got a date.

I’m really digging Naomi and Max, her bringing him along as her vacation math tutor was a stroke of genius hilarity, the fact that upon learning Naomi was failing math, he actually became her math tutor, with holding sex till she passed the practice test was perfection. Josh Zuckerman, who was disgustingly creepy as a serial killer on Desperate Housewives last year, is doing a great job playing Max as the confident nerd.

And finally we get the the best part of the episode, the ongoing war between Silver and Adrianna. Lets go through a timeline -
- Navid cheats on Adrianna with her BFF Silver, who effectively steals him from her.
- Adrianna finds out and torments Silver into coming clean.
- Silver finally comes clean.
- Adrianna sends a nude picture of Silver to the whole school.
Then last night,
- Silver fakes sex noises to piss off Adrianna.
- Adrianna gives Silver Mexican tap water triggering Montezuma’s Revenge!
- Silver replaces Adrianna’s sunscreen with moisturizer giving her nasty burns.
- The girls have a fight in the pool! I still can’t believe I had to wait for season three to have a pool fight on 90210. For shame.
- Adrianna and Silver talk, Silver apologizes and asks what she can do. Ade’s response: Break up with him. Honestly it’s not the most unreasonable request, the problem is…
- Silver is falling in love with Navid.
- At the end of the episode Adrianna comes over to make up and goes to use Silver’s restroom – where she secretly replaces her Bi-Polar meds with random pills!

This makes me so happy. Ever since Silver broke into Matthew’s house in season one and attacked him and had her bi-polar meltdown I’ve been DYING to see Silver go cray-cray again. I’m so happy it’s not because of some boy and becuase Adrianna switched out her pills. That’s pretty much the worst thing someone can do. Love. It.

From the promo it looks like there gonna play her relapse for laughs which makes me believe it was written by Tom Cruise. Hopefully Silver will go completely nutter butter and hurt someone, as long as it’s not Naomi Clark.

What’s On Monday: Cougar Town, 90210 and Gossip Girl are back!

It was 3 months ago that Courtney Cox and Cougar Town vacated it’s prime post Modern Family spot to make space for her ex-TV husband Matthew Perry and Mr. Sunshine. Finally the cul-de-sac crew returns, and on a special night too, one that also sees the return of nerd-boinking Naomi Clark and our favorite upper-east siders. Here are our recommendations for tonight, Monday April 18 2011.

The Best:

90210 “Enchanted Donkey” 8:00 on CW

Silver and Adrianna still battling? Yup! Naomi still loving nerds? Yup! Tonight TV’s juiciest and guiltiest pleasure returns with the whole gang taking a trip down to Cabo for spring break. This series was at its best when Naomi and Annie were warring last season and it’s gearing up to be that fun again with Silver and Adrianna’s battle over Navid. It gets mad intense tonight.

House “The Last Temptation” 8:00 on FOX

It’s Amber Tamblyn’s last episode, and the first time that two women will be on House’s team at the same time (Cameron and Thirteen never were, and his reality show selection process doesn’t count). For her farewell they’ve made it Martha Masters centric. She could return;  Wilde has yet to sign a contract for next season. Check out the promo and tune in tonight for what Tamblyn calls a juicy scene with her and 13.

How I Met Your Mother “Hopeless” 8:00 on CBS

Barney tries to get to know his father (a returning John Lithgow) better by spending some quality time with him. Of course for a Stinson that means getting arrested. Robin falls in love with Sam Anders.. I mean Michael Trucco. I have to keep reminding myself that Battlestar isn’t real.

Gossip Girl “The Kids Stay in the Picture” 9:00 on CW

When we last left off Lily was confessing her part in framing Ben and Serena and Eric’s father William (William Baldwin) had returned to NYC. Tonight Cece Rhodes (Caroline Lagerfelt) and her sister Carol (Sheila Kelly, but the part was played by Kristen Ritter in the backdoor pilot two years ago) come to NYC to support Lily in these tough times. Carol’s daughter Charlie (Kaylee DeFer, The War at Home) comes too. This makes me nervous, the last cousin the CW introduced was 90210′s cousin Emily – and she was just the worst – lets hope cousin Charlie is less obnoxious. Also the love triangle between Chuck, Blair and Dan becomes a square tonight as Vanessa, the worst character ever (yes worse than Jenny) gets involved and likely is terrible.

Cougar Town “Walls” 9:30 on ABC

Damn it’s been too long. I’ve really missed the Cul-de-Sac crew, their games, their hijinx and all the fun I have playing Penny can at home while I watch. And as a reward for our patience, ABC has given us two new episodes this week, tonight and in it’s regular slot on wedneday.

The Rest:

Chuck 8:00 on NBC – Love it while you can cause it’s looking like a goner.

Dancing with the Stars 8:00 on ABC – Kirstie Alley is a hot mess and the sole reason for watching this season.

The Secret Life of the American Teenager 8:00 on ABC Family – Molly Ringwald Alert!

Mad Love 8:30 on CBS – The worst show with the best cast? Probably.

The Chicago Code 9:00 on FOX – Getting better with every episode and making Delroy Lindo’s villainy ambiguous they’ve made the character relatable which he was not at the start.

The Event 9:00 on NBC – It’s finally time for Lisa Vidal to shine as the First Lady, she gets her very first plot of the season tonight. Is she an alien? Tune in to find out (or just read my recap tomorrow).

Make It or Break It 9:00 on ABC Family – They made it!

William & Kate 9:00 on Lifetime – Royal Wedding fever continues to infect the world. Lifetime airs their movie about how two rich kids met and fell in love (above).

20/20 William and Catherine 10:00 on ABC – More royal fever!

The Hard Times of RJ Berger 10:00 on MTV – Ugh.

Hawaii 5-0 10:00 on CBS – Death is hitting the beach soon. Who’s gonna die?

Law and Order: LA 10:00 on NBC – Fail.

Nurse Jackie 10:00 on SHO – Edie Falco is a f’ing force to contend with. She’s outstanding here.

The United States of Tara 10:30 on SHO – Toni Collete is wasted to death here.

QUIT!

Showrunner Rebecca Rand Kirshner Sinclair Exits 90210

Remember for the majority of season one how 90210 was lame, kinda boring and had duds like Ethan? It had the right materials to be better it just needed a brilliant showrunner to guide it to campy greatness. The CW replaced Jeff Judah and Gabe Sachs with one woman with 4 names. Rebecca. Rand. Kirshner. Sinclair. And almost instantly 90210 got better.

Kirshner knew she had a comic GENIUS in Annalynn McCord, and Naomi became the center of the series. Liam was introduced into the fold, and boring Ethan was sent away. Annie exploded. Jen was introduced to reign terror on her sister Naomi. Annie killed someone. Teddy and Ivy were introduced. Annie and Naomi spent 13 well written and glorious episodes at eachothers throats. Jasper was introduced bringing creepy to a whole new level. Harry and Deb ate weed brownies, got divorced. Navid’s dad’s a child pornographer. Ryan Matthews nailed every woman that wasn’t in high school (Kelly, Brenda, Laurel, Jen, Deb). Silver became the moral anchor of the show and then slept with Navid. Dixon had a psycho ex who gave him both a pregnancy and an aids scare. Naomi was raped by Mr. Cannon, who hunted her and Silver and brought creepy to an even higher level. Crazy cousin Emily came, exacted a reign of psychotic Single-White-Female terror. Annie cheated on one brother with another. Naomi fell for a Nerd and went full Na’vi. Adrianna stole songs from her dead boyfriend, got a reality show and is about to send Silver back into a bi-polar spiral (which was the ONLY good thing about the show prior to RRKS’s arrival).

She’s making her exit at the end of the season. The CW offered her a very generous contract which she declined. She brought her infant child to work every day for the last year after taking almost no maternity leave to begin production on season 3. She wants to spend more time with her kid and maybe work on some original stuff. I’m happy for her I am. But it’s hard to lose her.

Prior to 90210, she took over for an exiting Amy Sherman Palladino and was responsible for the final season of Gilmore Girls. She wrote a bunch of Buffy the Vampire Episodes including the brilliant season 6 episode, Tabula Rasa. There’s been no word of her replacement.

She turned a turd into gold. Rebecca Rand Kirshner Sinclair is the closest thing the TV world has to a true alchemist. She will be missed.

What’s On: Blue Monday! (last Monday of sweeps)

Have any of you seen Charlie Sheen’s Good Morning America interview? Wow. That was a train wreck huh? I tried to find a link to it but it seem to have been taken down already. Bun on happier news the picture above has me excited for all kinds of reason which is why 90210 along with a few other are our recommendations for tonight, Monday February 28 2011.

The Best:

90210 “Blue Naomi” 8:00 on CW

Naomi goes to great lengths to impress Max (Josh Zuckerman), Dixon and Navid cement their business relationship with the assistance of guest Snoop Dog. But in way more interesting news my prayers have been answered and Silver is likely headed for Bi-Polar breakdown zone due to Adrianna’s vow of revenge.

Chuck “Chuck vs. The First Bank of Evil” 8:00 on NBC

Chuck (Zachary Levi, who performed at the Oscars last night) and Sarah go, as the promo says; Bonnie and Clyde and rob an evil bank in Macau with the help of Rose Vivian (Lauren Cohan). Looks like a solid, fun stand alone episode.

“Accept it if you DAIR”

Gossip Girl “Empire of the Son” 9:00 on CW

I DO DAIR… I mean I am so deeply in love with the Dair plot, that all my Chair feelings are out the window. When they cuddled to watch the movie at the end of last week’s episode; I melted. I’m not usually one of the ‘Shippers when it comes to my fave series, but this is too good to pass, and what’s better is that we (or at least I) never saw this coming. I still don’t like Raina Thorpe (Tika Sumpter), who’s now roped Nate into her plot vortex of entertainment. What I am looking forward to, is the return of Billy Baldwin as the devious William Van Der Woodsen, Lily’s ex and Serena and Eric’s poppa.

Castle “Countdown Part 2″ 10:00 on ABC

I hate two parters – in that I don’t do well with suspense and anticipation; so I just watched last weeks’ “Countdown pt 1″ this morning. I really enjoyed it, much like last season’s Dana Delaney-infused two parter – it’s been a showcase for a more heavy handed episode, which isn’t exactly Castle’s forte. Castle thrives in the light and peppy, but it’s these serious episodes that allow for Stana Katic and Nathan Fillion to stretch their thespian muscles. We last left Castle and Beckett freezing to death in a freezer and the rest of the team chasing a nuclear dirty bomb.

Harry’s Law “American Dreams” 10:00 on NBC

It’s rather fitting that the episode to showcase Brittany Snow the most thus far is named after the series on which the broke big. Tonight Harry takes on a case of Albinos seeking refugee status from Albino hunters. I didn’t know Albino hunters existed. Also Harry and Jenna’s relationship gets a little rocky after some unfortunate incidents. I’m a fan – I’m also a fan of the ad aiming at Hawaii Five-O’s audience.

The rest:

The Bachelor 8:00 on ABC – Ugh…

House 8:00 on FOX – Last week’s ep was a solid 9, I really enjoyed the kids. Let’s hope this episode’s got some moxy too. Also when is Olivia Wilde returning. She’s been absent all but one and her name remains in the opening credits.

How I Met Your Mother 8:00 on CBS – Barney falls harder for Nora, and I fall harder asleep. Bring on the Lithgow as his dad, and bring him now.

Pretty Little Liars 8:00 on ABC Family – Something needs to happen soon. There is a lot of nothing and my patience is wearing thin. I also dont understand Ezra Fitz and Aria; I mean are we supposed to cheer for them? If she was my daughter I’d kill him and I’ve seen them together as a couple. He needs to go the way of Bianca Lawson – and leave this show.

Mad Love 8:30 on CBS – A waste of talent for everyone involved. Yes, even Jason Biggs.

Being Human 9:00 on Syfy – I keep meaning to cover this above in the Best section, but then I see the sad Annie replacement and I quickly stick it in the rest.

The Cape 9:00 on NBC – Tonight’s 9th and likely penultimate episode has the Cape infiltrating Scales’ (Vinnie Jones) gang to get close to new villain Razer (guest Grant Bowler; True Blood, Ugly Betty and Lost). Rapper Slaine (who I’ve never heard of) and legend Elliot Gould (Friends, MASH) also guest star.

The Chicago Code 9:00 on FOX – Alderman Gibbons (Delroy Lindo) is held up by a youth and it triggers some emotional memories from his past. I guess we have a lot of Lindo voice overs to look forward to tonight. P.S. – Memo to Shawn Ryan: GET RID OF THE PATRONIZING VOICEOVERS, IDIOT.

Greek 9:00 on ABC Family – Another penultimate episode. Tear!

Mike & Molly 9:30 on CBS – Mike and Carl spend too many double shifts together and end up pissing each other off. I bet Carl calls Mike fat.

Skins 10:00 on MTV – Tonight is Michelle’s episode. KMN.

Well that’s it for today, next week brings us the return of THE EVENT. But sweeps ends tomorrow and new episodes will be few and far between as we ramp up to the end of the broadcast season. Check back later for more!

What’s On: Family Day Monday!

In Ontario we have something called Family Day, and it’s a government holiday so Ima gon relax today! Here are our recommendations for tonight, Monday February 21 2011.

90210 “It’s High Time” 8:00 on CW

Cousin Emily’s (guest Abbie Cobb) fatwa on all things Annie continues tonight as she takes Annie’s job, friends and man! I hate this cousin Emily plot, but imagine if she joins forces with Jasper to bring Annie down. I miss Jasper. Also the boys take Teddy for a night out to show him everything’s the same, but he feels they’re treating him different.

House “Two Stories” 8:00 on FOX

House goes to career day and based on the title probably tells two stories. I love when kids and curmudgeons meet. Looks like a fun one from the promo.

The Cape “The Lich part 2″ 9:00 on NBC

The Lich part one was so far the series’ best episode and tonight is the conclusion. The Lich (Dirty Sexy Money’s Brian Fitzgerald) and Netta (Illeana Douglas) keep Orwell hostage and the Cape relies on his wife’s legal connections to find him. Give it a watch before it dies.

Castle “The Setup part 1″ 10:00 on ABC

A murder leads to a bigger conspiracy involving a radioactive bomb on tonight’s Castle. Heroes’ Adrian Pasdar guest stars as the federal agent who works alongside Castle and Beckett. Expect a cliffhanger with Beckett’s life in the balance probably.

Everything Else:

The Bachelor 8:00 on ABC – Who will he choose? Will he actually choose someone this time?

Chuck 8:00 on NBC – I don’t love this show, but I do love that it gave Chevy Chase the his TV comeback.

How I Met Your Mother 8:00 on CBS – Ted has a run in with Zoey’s (guest Jennifer Morrison) ex-husband The Captain (guest Kyle McLachlan)

Pretty Little Liars 8:00 on ABC Family – Aria ponders upon the legitimacy of her relationship with Ezra (pictured above together), her high school english teacher. Hasn’t this Hot-For-Teacher plot been done to death? And never better than in Dawson’s Creek?

Mad Love 8:30 on CBS – Hopefully this perfect cast couple sitcom will have a better second outing. It’s pilot stunk.

Being Human 9:00 on Syfy – I just cant. I needs me my Annie (pictured). I am not a Sally dude.

The Chicago Code 9:00 on FOX – I liked the second episode of Shawn Ryan’s cop drama, but I LOVE Jennifer Beals’ Chicago accent. I’m down for episode three.

Gossip Girl 9:00 on CW – I officially can’t stand Tika Sumpter as Raina Thorpe on Gossip Girl, what I can stand/officially LOVE is the beginnings of DAIR!!!!

Greek 9:00 on ABC FamilyJust a few more episodes left catch it if you can.

Mike & Molly 9:30 on CBS – Old sex this week instead of fat sex.

Harry’s Law 10:00 on NBC – For a ghetto her neighborhood looks rather quaint.

Hawaii Five-O 10:00 on CBS – Get ready for the Secret World of Alex Mack’s Larisa Oleynik!

Skins 10:00 on MTV – Just die already.

I’m mad excited for Castle!!
